About STRIDE Community Health Center

STRIDE Community Health Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center that has served the Denver metropolitan area since 1989. STRIDE provides community and refugee medical, dental, mental health, substance abuse, pharmacy, and community-based services, including case management, outreach to the homeless, adolescent services, health education, and maternal child health to the more than 50,000 underserved, uninsured and working individuals and families who need health care services the most. STRIDE serves a five-county area and has one of the largest population bases of any Community Health Center in Colorado.

STRIDE Community Health Center is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, STRIDE Community Health Center has the largest population base of any FQHC in Colorado and provides primary care, dental, pharmacy, behavioral health, health education, care coordination, patient navigation, pharmacy,  and outreach and enrollment services in accordance with its mission.

STRIDE (formerly known as Metro Community Provider Network or MCPN) addresses the need for affordable and accessible medical, behavioral health, and dental care among low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations residing outside the City and County of Denver. STRIDE’s current service area encompasses Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson, and Park counties and the Cities of Aurora, Arvada, Englewood, Lakewood, Parker, and Wheat Ridge.

From a single clinic in 1989, STRIDE has grown into a large, integrated health care delivery system with 18 health center locations providing primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health, and wrap around services, including two School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) and a mobile dental van.
