Project-After
Helping survivors move forward after sexual assault

When someone experiences sexual trauma and goes to the police or hospital, all of the person's clothes and shoes may be taken as evidence. Already feeling vulnerable and traumatized in unimaginable ways, the survivor is then sent home in whatever clothing the hospital/police can dredge up. Sometimes, they don't even fit. Shoes are usually not available. According to the Victim's Advocate at a local police department, this is one area that is often overlooked by the community. Irene created PROJECT-AFTER to supply new clothes and shoes for survivors to embrace them with love and empower them with dignity.

Our mission is to provide clothing and shoes to survivors AFTER they have experienced sexual trauma or other abuse. To achieve this, we purchase and distribute new clothing to hospitals and police departments to make these items available when they are needed.
