Description
The first step to becoming a volunteer at the Denver Animal Shelter is to attend a Volunteer Orientation. Volunteers help out in many different job positions at the shelter. All volunteers start out with their first month working in our animal care section. From there, they receive training to be able to move into other roles, especially those that work directly with the animals. Volunteers can choose which positions are most desirable to them and then we work with each person individually to help them find something that works best for their schedule. Majority of the volunteer positions require hands on work with the animals, but some are administrative, customer support, or helping with our humane education department. Please contact Lauren Rolfe to register for an orientation event.
