Habitat partners with existing homeowners on essential home repair projects so they can live safely and affordably in their homes for years to come. All repairs are external/outdoors. All of our projects are done with volunteers of all experience levels, from novice to master carpenter. Our construction supervisors will teach you what you need to know. Details: Please plan on showing up on time and staying for your entire shift. Split shifts are not allowed. At the start of the day there will be a safety orientation; safety is very important to us and your presence at the Safety Orientation is mandatory. If you arrive after the safety orientation has begun, you will not be able to stay to volunteer. What to Expect: This is an outdoor activity, Volunteers should be prepared with appropriate clothing to work outside for the entirety of the day, including sturdy, closed toed shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting dirty/paint on. We also highly recommend you bring your own gloves.
